    • Reflow welding should not be more than once;
    • It is not recommended to repair after welding dark purple led. When repair is inevitable, double head soldering iron must be used, and the product itself should not be damaged while operating carefully;
    • When welding, do not apply pressure on the deep UV LED during heating;
    • It is recommended to use convection reflow welder with temperature above 7.

  • Conditions of use
    • LED should avoid direct contact with harmful substances, such as sulfur, chlorine, phthalate, etc.
    • Exposure to corrosive gases must be avoided during operation and storage.
    • The silver plated metal parts are not only affected by the corrosive gas emitted from the final product, but also by the gas permeated by the external environment.
    • Extreme environments such as sudden changes in ambient temperature or high humidity that may cause condensation must be avoided.
  • Cleaning precautions
    • Do not use brush or use organic solvent (i.e. acetone, TCE, etc.) for cleaning, otherwise the LED resin may be damaged.
    • Isopropanol (IPA) is the recommended solvent for cleaning LEDs under the following conditions.
    • Cleaning condition: IPA, maximum 25 ℃. Within 60 seconds
    • Ultrasonic cleaning is not recommended.
    • Predictive testing should be carried out in conjunction with the actual cleaning process to verify that the process does not damage the LED.
  • Thermal management conditions
    • Thermal management is the most important part of the cooling performance of deep UV LED package.
    • Even from the beginning, the thermal design of the product must be carefully considered.
    • The synergy efficiency between calorific value and input power is affected by the thermal resistance of circuit board and the density of LED layout and other components.
    • Deep UV LED should be welded on metal PCB with high thermal conductivity. Or combine the deep UV LED with a metal PCB, a heat block, a mini (air or water cooler, etc.).
    • Please design LED module or system so that the temperature of LED package does not exceed the maximum junction temperature (TJ).
  • Electrostatic discharge (ESD)
    • LED is sensitive to static or surge voltage and current. Electrostatic discharge may damage the LED chip. Moreover, it can affect the reliability of LED package life. When handling led, the following ESD measures are recommended: 1) please wear wrist strap, anti-static clothes, feet and gloves. 2) Please set grounding or anti-static floor paint, grounding or surge protection of workstation equipment or power supply, pulse generator, current / voltage drive circuit and other tools. 3) ESD protection - table / table, mat made of conductive material.
    • All equipment, equipment and machines used in product assembly need to be grounded. When designing commercial products, please apply for surge protection after review.
    • If the tools or equipment contain insulating materials such as glass or plastic, the following measures are strongly recommended: 1) use conductive materials to dissipate static charges; 2) prevent moisture from generating electric charges; 3) insert ion fans (ion generators) to neutralize charges.
    • It is recommended that the customer check whether the LED is damaged by ESD during execution, and check the characteristics of LED in application. Led damage can be detected by forward voltage detection (measurement) under low current (≤ 1.0mA).
    • ESD damaged LEDs may generate current at low voltage. *Failure criteria: V at if = 0.5mAf < 4.0V。

    • All assembly workers, observers and bystanders must have eye and skin protection;
    • It is forbidden to observe with naked eyes (including through microscope) and handle deep UV LED naked in operation;
    • Do not touch the optical structure of the deep UV lamp bead;
    • This product is a humidity sensitive product, the recommended storage temperature is 18 ℃~ 30 ℃, the humidity is 30% ~ 60%, and sealed. In order to ensure the product quality, it is recommended to use it within one year after leaving the factory if the outer packing bag is not opened; if the outer packing bag is opened, it is recommended to use it within 24 hours, and re seal it for storage after 24 hours. Dehumidification measures should be taken before the next use: temperature: 65 ℃ time: 5h.
